Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for weekend night shifts who is certified in MRI and proficient with Epic in a Level 1 Trauma environment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Work in a hospital MRI department serving a Level 1 Trauma patient population
  • Weekend night shift schedule: Thursday to Saturday, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Role includes performing MRI procedures using various imaging equipment and administering gadolinium-based contrast material
  • Responsible for image processing, multi-planar reformats, and 3D rendered images
  • Use of Epic EMR is required
  • Duties include independently acquiring and processing patient exams, administering IV gadolinium contrast, and reviewing case information with radiologists
  • Required to ensure safety for patients, visitors, and the environment and report safety events immediately
  • May perform duties of MRI Lead or Imaging Coordinator in their absence and assist with training students or new staff
  • May assist other imaging modalities within licensure during downtimes
  • Work attire and scrub requirements will be provided by the department
  • Candidates who have reached a year of continuous service must take a 6-month break before returning
  • RTO not to exceed 7 days during a 13-week contract
  • No travel partners accepted

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant MRI technologist experience in a trauma setting
  • Associate’s Degree in a related field or Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology
  • Certification as an MRI Technologist or registration in MRI by ARMRIT or ARRT
  • Current BLS certification from AHA
  • Proficiency with Epic charting system
  • License required if applicable
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
