GHR Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Post Partum for a travel nursing job in Towson, Maryland.
Job Description & RequirementsProvides specialized nursing care to mothers and newborns during the postpartum period. Supports recovery, promotes bonding, and ensures safe transition from delivery to discharge.
Responsibilities:
• Assess postpartum mothers for pain, bleeding, healing, and overall recovery
• Monitor newborns for feeding, weight, vitals, and early signs of complications
• Provide breastfeeding support and educate parents on newborn care
• Administer medications and perform postpartum interventions as needed
• Assist with mother–baby bonding, safe sleep practices, and discharge readiness
• Collaborate with OB, pediatrics, lactation, and interdisciplinary teams
• Document assessments, interventions, and education accurately in the medical record
Requirements:
• Active state RN license or compact license if applicable
• Minimum two years of Post Partum or Mother Baby RN experience
• Strong assessment, education, and maternal newborn care skills
