Job Description & Requirements Title: Radiation Therapist
Location: Columbia, SC
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5x8 hours (Monday–Friday, 07:00–15:30)
Job responsibilities and all required and preferred skills and requirements
Radiation Therapist responsible for delivering prescribed radiation treatments to a diverse patient population including adult and pediatric patients in acute and outpatient settings. Performs accurate patient setup, positioning, and treatment delivery using advanced radiation therapy equipment. Conducts CT simulations, tumor localization, pretreatment procedures, and chart checks while maintaining strict radiation safety and infection control standards. Provides patient and family education, responds to emergency situations, and collaborates with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
Required & Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Associate degree required
\tExperience: Minimum 1 year preferred; new graduates considered with prior exposure to a progressive radiation oncology department
\tCertifications/Licensure: ARRT (T), BLS, and state license required
\tCharting System: Epic preferred
