Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist with 1-3 years of recent experience and active NJ RT license to join a hospital-based radiology team.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital radiology department performing X-ray imaging
• Schedule is 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend and call required
• Full-time, 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
• Use of a variety of imaging equipment with expectation of proper setup, use, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• EMR is Epic; familiarity is strongly preferred
• Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
• Provide imaging and treatment services according to state, federal, and professional standards
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
• Assess the need for procedure modifications and coordinate daily imaging workflow
• Must be able to stay on assignment for up to one year; a 30-60 day break is required before returning for a new assignment
• Not accepting local candidates living within 50 miles

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program
• Active NJ State RT license required if applicable
• ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required
• 1-3 years of recent experience as an X-Ray Technologist
• Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving, and excellent communication skills
