Traveling Occupational Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality OT services across various rural healthcare settings.
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions including ADL retraining, functional mobility training, therapeutic exercise, and appropriate modalities.
  • Document treatment plans, progress, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Educate patients and families on safety, adaptive strategies, home programs, and ways to enhance independence.
  • Adapt smoothly to new work environments, teams, and patient populations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure coordinated, effective care.
  • Monitor patient responses and adjust treatment approaches to optimize functional outcomes.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to a positive team culture.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (or anticipated degree).
  • Current OT license (or eligibility) in at least one state we serve; willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
  • Strong adaptability and comfort working in diverse clinical environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to delivering patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
  • Interest in rural healthcare and supporting rehabilitation teams across multiple communities.
  • Willingness to travel and complete short-term assignments.
