Overview Warehouse Associate - Forklift Driver at Pretium Packaging Company : Pretium Packaging Description Pretium Packaging, founded in 1992, is a leading supplier of injection-blow molded plastic containers, renowned for our commitment to quality, value, and customer service. With 16 manufacturing facilities across North America, we provide innovative packaging solutions for brand owners in the United States and Canada. Summary Load, unload and move materials to facilitate the receipt of supplies and shipment of product. An incumbent may or may not perform all of the duties listed below, dependent on the specific location for which support is provided. Responsibilities Load and unload trailers; move and dock trailers for loading. Set up trailers for customer delivery. Audit areas of the warehouse to ensure proper placement of materials. Check and track inventories to be sure materials are on hand. Participate in the physical count for monthly and yearly inventory. Keep the warehouse clean and free of debris. Inspect trailers (leaks, dirt, etc.). Handle UPS and FedEx shipments. Monitor finished goods and raw materials for damage; report and repair as needed. Match receivables to purchase orders including all UPS. Attend safety committee meetings. Perform warehouse maintenance tasks (sealing floor, redo aisles, row numbers). Performs other related duties and special projects. Position Qualifications Education: Requires basic knowledge of arithmetic, spelling, English, and grammar; equivalent to a high school education. Experience: No prior experience required. May entail up to 6 months on-the-job experience to gain sufficient skill. Skills and Abilities: Reading, writing and speaking at a minimal level; basic arithmetic; ability to deal with problems in standardized situations; basic computer skills. Machines/Equipment: Forklift, clamp truck, forklift-related software; UPS and FedEx software. License/Certification: Forklift certification required. Physical Demands Standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, carrying, reaching, grasping, talking, and hearing. Clarity of vision at close and distance ranges; color recognition. Medium work: lift up to 15 pounds continuously and up to 40 pounds frequently. Work Conditions Environmental and atmospheric conditions typical of the role, including close proximity to moving mechanical parts, equipment noise and dust.
