Join to apply for the Associate Product Designer role at Datadog Overview We’re looking for early‑career product designers who move fast, turn complexity into clarity through thoughtful design and clear communication, and are eager to elevate their craft with AI. At Datadog, design is how we make the invisible complexity of modern software visible and actionable, helping engineers keep their systems reliable and their teams empowered. Our team designs the tools developers around the world rely on every day — real‑time dashboards, data visualizations, incident workflows, and the design systems that power them. Datadog’s Product Design team is growing rapidly and expanding into new user spaces and refining our most impactful products. This is your chance to contribute to an ever‑evolving technology landscape and help shape how millions of developers experience Datadog and, in turn, how they do their work every day. Associate Designer Program (ADP) The ADP is a 12‑month rotational program built for speed, growth, and learning. You’ll move through three design rotations, each focused on solving high‑impact, real‑world challenges across our product ecosystem. You’ll design, test, ship, and learn at pace. You’ll collaborate directly with product managers, engineers, and senior designers, guided by dedicated mentors who push your craft and strategic thinking. By the end of the program, you’ll have developed diverse knowledge of Datadog’s portfolio and built the skills to design confidently in a fast‑moving, global environment. What You’ll Do Rotate through 3 product design teams over 12 months, building your skills across different problem spaces. Work closely with design leaders and product managers to understand how our customers use Datadog and what they need to succeed. Bring ideas to life through research, prototyping, and interaction design, then ship them in production. Document and present your design to the team and work to get buy‑in from key stakeholders. Collaborate directly with engineers to understand technical constraints and opportunities. Who You Are You are in the process of receiving or have a degree in Computer Science, Human‑Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent experience. You are targeting a January 2026 full‑time start date. You have a portfolio with a solid foundation in human‑centered practices that showcases strong interaction and visual design skills. You can express ideas via rich stories, prototypes, and code. You’re apt to come up with novel, simple solutions for complex problems. You have experience with Figma or similar design tools. You have experience with vibecoding and generative AI tools. You possess strong collaboration and communication skills, curiosity, and eagerness to learn and grow. You are passionate about creating a high‑quality user experience, down to the little details that matter. Benefits and Growth Mentorship opportunities with team members, leadership, and beyond. Continuous professional development and product training opportunities. Intradepartmental mentor and buddy program for in‑house networking. In‑person intern cohort and monthly company social events. An inclusive company culture; ability to join our Community Guilds (Datadog employee resource groups). Relocation support and travel benefits. Unlimited snacks and drinks in our office; catered lunches on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Beautiful offices in convenient locations.
