Overview Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Bridge/Structural Engineer to assist on a variety of public and private sector infrastructure projects in South Florida! We are seeking to add a full time Bridge Engineer in our Miami Office to participate in the design of highway, rail, and pedestrian bridge projects for public and private sector clients from scoping through construction phases. Responsibilities The selected candidate will work in the Infrastructure Department (Bridges and Structures) on various projects including new or rehabilitated bridges, culverts, and associated miscellaneous structures. Work opportunities in other similar service lines may be available (Canals, rail, highway, etc.) to broaden your career, or provide introductions in other groups/managers. Responsibilities will include bridge design, culvert design, miscellaneous structures, technical reports and estimating. The selected candidate will assist our Project Managers with calculations, design reviews, permitting, review of plans & calculations, and the development of specifications/construction documents. Some field inspection duties may be required. Includes design work and may include some opportunities for client-facing interaction. Participate in the interpretation, update, and/or creation of Standards of Practice. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. Master's is a plus. 4+ years experience. PE preferred. Working toward PE acceptable. Prior FDOT experience preferred. Other DOT experience acceptable. Be able to work multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in highway/bridge/culvert layout. Proficiency in structural analysis software. Basic knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D. Experience with FDOT/AASHTO standards/publications a plus. Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
