**Job Summary and Responsibilities** As a Charge RN, you'll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in Labor and Delivery adds tremendous value to our nursing team. Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, which aligns with your department's operational goals and objectives. To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You're an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. It's also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit. + Mentors others in areas such as competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, National Patient Safety Goals, and participation in inservice education. + Provides direct patient care as appropriate to meet the needs of the patients and department. + Evaluates care given by staff. + Coaches to improve care. + Ensures standard of care is maintained. + Exhibits a general understanding of the process for dealing with ethical dilemmas and understands and coordinates the process for obtaining an Ethics Consult. **Job Requirements** Required + Associate Of Nursing Nursing, upon hire or + Diploma Nursing, upon hire or + Registered Nurse: AZ, upon hire and + Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and + Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire and + Neonatal Resuscitation Program, upon hire Preferred + Two (2) years RN experience within applicable clinical specialty and + Charge Nurse experience. and + Previous experience with personal computers. and + Bachelors Of Nursing Nursing, upon hire **Where You'll Work** Located in the Phoenix, Ariz., suburb of Chandler, the Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 429-bed, not-for-profit hospital with more than 2,600 team members and almost 1,000 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. Chandler Regional joined the Dignity Health system in 1999, but has been part of the community for more than 50 years. The hospital includes a Level I Trauma Center, a Heart and Vascular Center, a Wound Healing Center, a Family Birth Center and many additional services.
