The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of a project from start to finish. Primary duties include planning, directing, coordinating, and budgeting activities related to project construction. • Oversee and occasionally prepare cost estimates at multiple stages.

  • Initiate and coordinate design efforts and value engineering processes.

  • Schedule projects logically to meet deadlines and determine labor needs.

  • Facilitate travel for technicians assigned to the project site.

  • Coordinate with superintendents and monitor compliance with codes and regulations.

  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to staff, workers, and clients.

  • Prepare contracts, negotiate changes, and manage agreements with designers, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

  • Obtain necessary permits and licenses.

  • Direct and supervise both office and on-site team members.

  • Determine appropriate construction methods and solicit, negotiate, select, and oversee material suppliers and subcontractors.

  • Requisition supplies and materials, prepare and submit budgets, and track costs and progress.

  • Develop and implement quality control programs.

  • Address delays, weather-related disruptions, or emergencies.

  • Work with stakeholders to resolve complaints, work procedures, and construction issues.

  • Manage cost/budget and contract changes.

  • Develop and maintain the project schedule and financial plan.

  • Complete all required project documentation and reporting.

  • Train and develop the project team.

  • Prepare timely client billing and ensure accurate job cost postings.

  • Oversee safety, quality assurance, and material logistics programs.

  • Recruit, hire, train, supervise, promote, or discipline project-related staff as needed.

  • Coordinate effectively with internal and external design, construction, network, and facility teams.

  • Proactively communicate program status and risks to all stakeholders and take corrective actions when necessary.

  • Serve as the main liaison to the client, maintaining high satisfaction levels and fostering collaboration.

  • Maintain regular presence on-site for active project management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business management, electrical engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience.
