Madison Medical Associates is a well-established, patient-centered internal medicine practice in Hyde Park seeking an experienced Practice Manager to oversee daily operations and support our physicians and staff. We are a small, physician-owned, two-doctor office that values efficiency, teamwork, and high-quality patient care.

Position Overview

The Practice Manager is responsible for the overall administrative and operational management of the practice, ensuring smooth workflows, financial stability, regulatory compliance, and a positive experience for both patients and staff. This is a hands-on leadership role with meaningful autonomy and close collaboration with the physician owners.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the medical office
• Manage and support front-desk and clinical staff, including scheduling, training, and performance oversight
• Coordinate billing, coding, and revenue cycle management (working with external billing and payroll partners)
• Monitor financial performance, budgets, and operational reports
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements
• Optimize workflows within the EMR (Athena experience preferred)
• Serve as primary liaison for vendors, accountants, payroll, and IT support
• Support physicians with operational, staffing, and administrative needs
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, patient experience, and staff satisfaction

Qualifications

1.    Prior experience as a medical practice manager or office manager ‘

2.    Strong understanding of medical office operations, billing, and insurance processes

3.    Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills

4.    Comfortable working in a small practice where the manager is hands-on

5.    EMR experience required (Athena preferred)

6.    Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Quickbooks.
