Brunkenhoefer, P.C. Injury Attorneys is a small, reputable plaintiffs’ personal injury trial law firm dedicated to zealous representation of clients, professional treatment of friends and foes, and a very good quality of life for its employees. We are seeking an associate litigation attorney to join our team.
Candidates should have the willingness and ability to interact well and frequently with office staff, clients, colleagues, and courts; understand all aspects of a plaintiff’s personal injury case; have good research skills and the ability to write intelligently and persuasively; and be capable of preparing discovery, taking depositions, selecting and designating experts, drafting pleadings, filing and responding to motions, attending inspections, hearings, mediations and other case-related events, and otherwise preparing a case for trial. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus, but not required. Travel is not frequent, but it is a part of the job as the cases may demand.
Applicants should have at least 2 years of experience with the litigation of personal injury matters.
Supervision is absolutely provided as needed, but we prefer to collaborate with rather than supervise folks, so we are looking for attorneys who want independence and can tend to their own dockets without extensive oversight or micromanagement.
While the docket has the usual abundance of car wrecks, UM/UIM dec actions, non-subscriber workplace cases, etc., if you can handle more or different work, you will be given the chance to try your hand at a variety of cases, including trucking, oilfield, maritime, etc.
*Pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Discretionary bonuses are issued based upon your work and the overall performance of the firm. NOTE: You can always count on a Christmas bonus.
*Benefits include health insurance, dental/vision insurance, 401(k) plan with employer matching, profit-sharing plan, paid vacation/sick leave, a first rate firm trip in the summer (usually Vegas or Cabo), the closure of the office during the Christmas-New Year’s Holidays (i.e., some combination of 9-12 days in a row during the Holidays, depending upon when the Holidays fall), and reserved parking.
*We have a very generous additional bonus structure as you bring in new cases or develop referrals.
