• Position: Certified Surgical First Assistant – CVOR

• Unit: CVOR – STFA
• Location: 1968 Peachtree Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30309
• Start Date: March 16, 2026 (start contingent on completion of privileging)
• Duration: 26 weeks

 

🗓 Schedule

• Shift: Day shift
• Schedule: 3x12s
• Hours: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Call: 1 day per week + 1 weekend every ~4 weeks (subject to department needs)
• Floating: Required within facility/scope of practice and to Main OR as needed
• Block Scheduling: Not allowed

 

🚨 HARD STOP REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must have:

• Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, and Thoracic experience
• Active CSFA, NBSTSA, or NCCSA certification
• Minimum 5 years OR experience
  • 3 years may be considered with clinical screen
• GA or Compact license in hand at time of submission
• Ability to complete privileging prior to start (approx. 120 days)

➡ Heart Transplant experience highly preferred

 

🩺 Clinical Scope

• CVOR and Acute Hospital OR setting
• High-acuity cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and transplant cases
• CABG, valve replacements, VADs, EVAR/TEVAR, TAVR
• Solid organ transplant (heart, lung, liver, kidney)
• Float to Main OR as needed
