Position: RN-Medical Surgical-Telemetry (Travel/Contract)

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in medical-surgical and telemetry settings.

  • Monitor and assess patient vital signs and health status.

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

  • Participate in continuous professional development and training programs.

  • Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.

  • Educate patients and families on health management and recovery.

  • Adhere to safety and infection control protocols at all times.

  • Document patient care activities and outcomes accurately and timely.

  • Utilize data and metrics to evaluate patient care effectiveness.

  • Assist in achieving departmental targets and quality metrics.

  • Engage in performance evaluations and feedback sessions.

  • Foster a positive and supportive environment for patients and staff.


Experience/Qualifications

  • Current RN license in New York State required.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.

  • Knowledge of safety and infection control protocols.

  • Team player with accountability for personal performance.

  • Strong communication skills for patient and team interactions.

  • Experience in patient education and family support.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, results-oriented environments.

  • Ability to analyze data to improve patient care outcomes.

  • Proficient in using electronic health record systems.
