About the Position

Are you passionate about repairing and servicing vacuums, sewing machines, embroidery machines, and heavy-duty industrial sewing machines? Meissner is seeking a skilled Vacuum & Sewing Machine Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various machine models and brands, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to the dynamic atmosphere at our Sacramento retail store.

Requirements:
  • Experience with mechanical hand tools and electronic troubleshooting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in computer operation.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to climb stairs, lift heavy objects (50-100lbs), and perform manual tasks.
  • Must be able to participate in training courses online and in-person (some travel may be required)
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision

Responsibilities:

  • Repair and service vacuums, sewing machines, embroidery machines, and industrial sewing machines.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, including "clean, oil, and lubricate" services.
  • Collaborate with customers and store managers to address inquiries and resolve issues.
  • Utilize point-of-sale systems to track repairs and maintain detailed customer records.
  • Occasionally provide on-site repair services at customer locations.
  • Research and order replacement parts as needed.

Schedule:  Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Pay: $40,000 - $65,000 annually based on an hourly rate and commission
